Forklift Drum Lifters for Tapered Plastic and Top-Lip DrumsFork-mounted drum handlers allow a fork truck to lift and transport plastic drums that may not work with conventional rim-grab attachments. This family includes bottom-grip and top-grip configurations for matching the handler to the drum’s shape, size, head style, and available attachment point. Bottom-Grip Handler for Tapered DrumsThe 800 pound capacity bottom-grip model uses adjustable arms to handle 55 gallon tapered, round-bottom plastic drums. Its low attachment point accommodates open-head and closed-head drums. A supplied ratchet strap helps secure the drum to the handler, including during travel over rough terrain. Top-Lip Handler for Multiple Drum MaterialsThe 1,100 pound capacity top-grip model handles 30 and 55 gallon plastic closed-head drums with a top lip at least 3/16 inch high. It can also handle compatible steel and fiber drums in closed-head configurations or open-head configurations when the lid is installed and secured. Usable fork pockets measure 7-1/2 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches high on 20-1/2 inch centers. Fork Truck Attachment and ConstructionAll-welded steel construction and a powder-coat finish support regular industrial use. A safety chain secures the attachment to the fork truck. Before selecting a model, confirm the loaded drum weight, drum material, capacity, head style, profile, lip dimensions, and fork spacing against the chosen handler.
Model FPDL-8-L Adjustable arms are designed to fit 55 gallon tapered round bottom plastic drums. Low drum attachment point allows for use of both open and closed head drums. A ratchet strap is supplied to secure the drum to the unit when traveling over rough terrain. Model FPDL-11-H A top lip plastic drum lifter for use with 30 and 55-gallon plastic closed head drums. 7-1/2" wide x 2-1/2" high usable fork pockets on 20-1/2" centers. High drum attachment point for use with top lip at least 3/16" high. Will also work with steel and fiber drums, with open (lid installed and secured) and closed head drums. |
