Variable-Height Hydraulic Drum Lifters and Dumpers for Open-Top Drums
Lift-and-dump hydraulic drum dumpers combine vertical elevation and controlled tilting to empty properly sized open-top drums at different receiving heights. Unlike fixed-height drum dumping equipment, the HLD series uses separate lift and tilt cylinders, making it suitable for applications where drums must discharge into receptacles of varying heights.
Independent Lift and Tilt Control
A four-button handheld pendant provides independent control of chute height and dumping angle. The chute moves only while the corresponding control is pressed and maintains its position when the button is released. Adjustable clamps secure the drum by engaging its upper rim; both clamps must fully engage the drum before operation.
Capacities, Heights, and Power Choices
Models are available with 1,000 or 1,500 pound uniform capacities. Dump-height ranges are 48 to 94 inches or 60 to 116 inches, allowing the equipment to serve different material-transfer setups. Standard models use 460V three-phase AC power, while DC-powered configurations use 12V DC power.
Portable and Stationary Configurations
Portable models provide a 40-degree maximum dump angle and include floor locks that must be applied before operating the chute. Stationary models provide a 45-degree maximum dump angle and require secure floor installation. When selecting a model, consider the loaded drum weight, required discharge height, available power source, preferred mobility, and installation area.
Available Control and Power Options
Listed options include a factory-installed 24V DC power unit, a hand-control pedestal, and a four-button radio remote for the lift and tilt circuits. These are optional additions and are not included with the standard dumper.
